Using the site

CooksGuide is free to read. You are welcome to cook from our recipes, print them for your own kitchen, and share links to any page.

Our content

The recipes, guides, photographs and page designs on CooksGuide are our own work and are protected by copyright. Please do not republish them — in whole or in part, on a website, in an app, in a print publication, or as training or scraped content for republication — without written permission.

You may quote a short extract if you credit CooksGuide and link to the page it came from. If you would like to use something more substantial, just ask: [email protected].

Food safety, allergens and dietary needs

Cook safely and use your judgement. Our timings and temperatures are guides, not guarantees. Ovens, hobs, air fryers and pan sizes vary, and so does the food you start with. Always check that meat, poultry, fish, eggs and reheated food are cooked through and piping hot, and follow current Food Standards Agency advice where it applies.

Allergen notes on our recipes reflect the ingredients as we have written them. Recipes change when you change them, and manufacturers reformulate products, so always read the label on the specific product you are using. If you cook for someone with a food allergy, intolerance or medical dietary requirement, you are responsible for checking every ingredient.

Nutrition figures are estimates calculated from typical ingredient values. They are there for rough comparison only and are not suitable for medical or clinical use. Nothing on CooksGuide is medical, dietary or nutritional advice — talk to a qualified professional for that.

Accuracy

We write everything ourselves and check facts, timings and safety guidance carefully — see our recipe standards. Even so, mistakes are possible. We do not warrant that the site is error-free or continuously available. If you spot something wrong, please tell us at [email protected] and we will correct it.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, CooksGuide is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from cooking one of our recipes. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where the law does not allow that.

Links to other sites

Where we link to another site, such as official food-safety guidance, we do not control that site and are not responsible for its content.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
